    AC Drive vs DC Drive

    I have alot of VSD's (Inverter's)controlling all my AC motors,I would like to keep all the same and have found that I may need to use a DC Motor in one application, Is it possible to use a VSD on a DC motor? or is a DC servo pack the equivalent of an AC motors VSD? any info is greatly appreciated.
