I need to specify a die for a piercing operation which needs to have a high tensile strength, probably around 1000 mpa if possible and yet still be sufficiently hard to give a reasonable life in terms of retaining its sharp edge. Anybody out there with any suggestions?

When importing IGES files into Inventor 8 and Mech Desktop 2004 for that matter, I'm having trouble with the PC crashing. I seem to be able to import some files up to about 10 Mb successfully whereas others of 6 Mb won't have it.
