    Plastic undercut fastener

    I want to fasten a flexible elastomeric sheet to a nylon sheet. I've prototyped some single firtree type fasteners as part of the elastomer, which poke through the nylon and hold in place. Other than trial and error, is there a more calculated approach to specifing the firtree/hole size?
