Need advice on torquing M12x1.75 class 10.9 bolt connecting a NV4500 transmission to an aluminum Bell housing

The books call for 74 ft lbs of torque with no mention of thread...
We are having a very minor dispute as to the proper flashing material to use between concrete & wood. We are flashing between a rim joist & concrete porch. I say stainless because I believe in time galvanized steel will deteriorate as would aluminum. Any official advice would be appreciated.

After leveling our botched concrete job we will need to seal it. The customer would like the floor to be Illini orange. Does anybody have any specific sealer recommendations?
