Hi all,
I want to know ,what is the standard heat loss that is acceptable from an insulated pipe line?
The thickness of the insulation is decided upon some value of the heat loss that is accpetable , so how much heat loss should be accpetable as a fraction of the total heat conetent in the...
hi all,
This question referes to a thread i saw some time back about the reboiler "slip flow",because of the low velocity and all.....
I am facing a similar problem in a column reboiler. The system includes a vertical thermosyphen reboiler in a column .The column is mainly a stripper that is...
hi,
can anyone tell me approx. how much heat loss is expected from the cold collector of hydrogen unit reformer outlet?
any thumb tule for this , though it can be calculated by the heat transfer calculation procedure .
In our diesel hydrotreator unit we are using automatic backwash filter for feed before it enters into the feed drum.from there it goes in to the reactor after heating.
this filter is supplied by Ronnigton peter which is of late showing more dp than before indicating that it has got some...
hi all,
this question concerns the hydrogen plant deaerator.
whenever we take the process condensate in the deaerator of our unit the conductivity goes very high i.e. 5-6.with only dmin water coming to the deaerator it is about 2.
and though all other parameters are within limits this we have...
dear all,
i have a question.
the hydrogenator in hydrodesulkphurization section of hydrogen generation unit has CoMo bed for conversion of organic sulphor in to H2S.licensor says its'temperature should not increase beyond 400 deg c or else it will render the catalyst inactive due to sintering...
hi guys,
i wnat to know whether Zinc oxide used in Hydrogen plant for desulphurizing of feed naphtha adsorbes any light organic compound or not?

we have in our unit mt shift reactor as the first reactor for shift conversion while most of the plants - atleast 4 plants i have seen - have ht shift and then lt shift.
is there any benefit of it , because i don't see much of the benefit in steam generation.
and as far as cost is concerned...
i am working in topsoe hydrogen plant .
the prereormer reactor is currently operating at 93% Z-90 value, and we are going to replace the catalyst soon.
has anyone any idea about regenration of prereformer catalyst?
has anyone carried out it?
any information is welcome.
regards,
santosh
