How can you classify this site for seismic desing?
This is the profile of vertical shaft excavation for "Power outlet".
The basement is embedded in hard rock.
This structure can be designed as site class "A" ?
I think this structure is seated on Hard Rock and then can be classified as site class...
I want to ask you how to classify site for seismic design ?
For example, if a spread footing is planned to under beneath ground level then site classification should be defined including all ground material from ground level to 30m depth below?

I think rotary sounding is more applicable and can get more valuable and reasonable data if it is conducted onto firm soil or even rock~
