I am trying to use AutoCAD 2000 learning assistance. I can't seem to bring up the video demo, but the audio is fine. The Windows Media Player icom is displayed but no video. I have the latest update installed of Media Player and it works ok by itself. Does anyone know what is wrong?

I am still having a problem in trying to fill objects on dwgs. I was told to use color code 8 or 9 an then "send to back". This worked fine but only for 2 shades of grey. I want to be able to use pastel colors (pink, green, blue, yellow, etc. I havn't been able to extract the light...
I have seen a lot of AutoCAD drawings with areas shaded with very light colors (usually Architectural plan views). I would like to use this feature in my work, but if I use "hatch solid" the fill in is way to dark.
Can anyone give me instructions on the way to lightly shade areas.
Thanks
I still can't install 2 fonts from a floppy disc. They are:
Archquik . shx and Archstyl . shx. I must be missing something very basic because I have followed all of the past instructions, but nothing seems to work. Can anyone give me instructions from the desktop on? I must be doing something...

When I am making a drawing in Autocad 2000 there are times when the scroll on my Microsoft mouse operates as a zoom (prefered). Other times it operates as a scroll (up & down). I know that I am doing something to cause this, but I can't seem to pinpoint my mistake.
Can anyone tell me what I am...
I just made an assembly drawing. I input a 4.375 dim on a shaft length. When I went to put a dim. line on this part the dim text showed 4.369. How can this happen? My osnap and ortho were on, shouldn't the line snap to the input dimension?
Thanks,

I have been trying to layout some part designs. When I click on const line, select hor., specify through point- 6. I then checked the dist. of the two horiz lines and it is never 6.000, it is always .005 to .030 less than the entered 6. My osnap and ortho are on. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks...
