Hi everybody!
What is the difference between the Charpy "V" Impact Test and the DWTT (Drop-Weight-Tear-Test) or rather the field of use?
When is required the one or the other ?
What do I have to consider using the one or another?
What does that mean?:
E.g.: ship plate D32...
Hey everybody!
Can anyone give me some information about
the cooling rates for TRIP, DUAL, IF steel grades
(refering to fast cooling after the last
hot rolling pass)?
Thanks and best regards,

I'm looking for the flow curve for the following material:
Material number: 1.1117
Symbol: 8Mn4 ,respectively.
Anyone has any idea?
In common: where can I such flow curves get from?
Thanks for suggestions!
Best regards,

Two questions:
1)Any information about API 5L X60-X80 steel grades
2)Is there a difference in producing
sour and non-sour API 5l grades respectively?
What have I to consider?
Both questions especially concerning to the hot rolling process (concerning to soaking
temperature, rolling...
I'm an austrian engineer who's looking for some NEW and ACTUAL information concerning dualphase and trip steel grades respectively.
I look for any information at this topics, as production parameters, usage in the automobile industrie, further
development in the future, easily said: ANY infos...

1)What is the difference between sour and non-sour API 5L grades?
2)Especially considering different process parameters at the hot rolling process (soaking temp., finishing temp., coiling temp.)?
Thanks a lot for information!

Can anybody give me any information about
the production parameters (concerning soaking temperature,
heat treatment, rolling conditions, etc.) and chemical compositions, respectively, to the following
API 5L grades: X60-X80 ?
Thanks for some information!

I need some information about the production parameters (as soaking temperature, rolling condition, heat treatment, coiling temperature, etc.) for the ship steel grades as Grade A, B, D, etc. (according to Lloyd's Register of Shipping)!
Thanks a lot for information,
best regards,

Does anybody have any information about this topic?
The details as follows:
(Finished) hot rolled coils at a temperature of ~500°C are put in a basin in which in about 5 min. water is filled (water temperature 45°C)-so that the coils are completely covered by water and so cooled down up to a...
What means the "W" at the steel grade e.g. StW 22?
I know that the "E" in e.g. StE 37 means that this steel
grade has a minimum yield strength of 370 MPa.
Thanks a lot.
