    Seamless Flat head fillet welded to a seam less shell - Joint Efficiency

    Hi I have recently come across a design in which a flat head is connected to a shell by fillet weld like the figure e of UG 34. Both the shell and head are seamless. For design thickness calculation what should be design efficiency according to UW12? Should I use E=1 for both or should I use E=0.55?
