Oscilloscope Connections.
Got a new oscilloscope to play with. 126 page user manual but with no advice as to how to properly connect the test probes. Would someone take a look at the illustrations below and let me know if I am thinking correctly? It would be appreciated. online photo hosting- jethro99

Thread pitch versus thread angle
Is there a way to calculate the angle of the threads of a bolt? If so, is the calculation based on using the root of the threads or the crest of the threads, as they appear to have a different angle? Bolt depicted below has a one inch diameter with 6 threads per inch. Thanks.- jethro99
