    NDT AT HIGH TEMPERATURES

    ANY SUGGESTIONS ON NDT TECHNIQUES FOR CHECKING OUT OPERATINAL PRESSURE VESSELS RUNNING AT 300 - 350 CENTIGRADE. THE VESSELS ARE IN OPERATION IN A REFINERY AND WE CANT TAKE THEM OUT OF SERVICE AT PRESENT. WE WISH TO CHECK FOR CRACK PROPAGATION AND SHELL THICKNESS.

    Any advice on what parameters I should be looking at when considering using an existing 5000 tonne general refinery slops tank for a more specified duty, ie refinery slops and sour H2S slops. What design codes / calculatiosn should be used ?

    Apart from the obvious ways of disposing of refinery slops / sludge, can anyone advsie other ways of disposal. Typical disposal. Pump off and tanker away to landfill site. Lagoon and evaporation. follwed by uplift and tanker away to landfil site. Incineration (need info on this or websites)...
