Hi
The VT used on a 11kV generator SWBD bus has 11/SQRT3 / 110/SQRT3 // 110/SQRT3. The third winding is an open delta used for neutral displacement relay. Usually generators have 11/SQRT3 / 110/SQRT3 // 110/3. However, a gas turbine set have the 110/sqrt3 for the open delta.
What setting does...
Hi All
I am looking at transformer protection for upto 70MVA 11/132kV.
Could you help me out with good protection. I know ABB and GEC. Any other in the market place and web address please. I am looking at digital unit all in one complete with software.
Thanks in advance
Hi All
I need help in the calculation of dielectric loss (W/cm3) when subjected to a 50Hz AC supply. ie 4kV/mm. Assume a tan delta value.
Thanks in advance
Hi
This is an intersting piece of puzzle and I would like to welcome those interested to analyse and contribute.
Transformer size -20MVA, 15.75/6.6kV
15.75kV connection is via the PIB.
Terminal Box 6.6kV- 3 cables per phase. 400sqmm Aluminium.
6.6kV bushing is vertical and the palm is Copper...
Hi
We had a stacker boom conveyor motor rated 415V 150HP, 1485rpm failed. On inspection the failure was observed to be in the overhang area at the NDE. The failure looks like turn to turn and then to earth. Two phases are down to earth. The motor is controlled by soft starter for starting. The...
Hi
Can you help me with the homopolar generation phenomenon, turbine rub, superheated steam electrical characteristics and the bearing current pitting.
I like to know the phenomenon of electromagnetism in the HP turbine due to superheated steam at around 550C (Homopolar generation), turbine rub, bearing current pittings. Could you help please.
When a four pole 0.85 power factor 355kW motor is rewound to a six pole motor, the power output kW reduces approximately by two thirds with a lower power factor while maintaining the same Torque.
Any comments please.
