    Hello All, Where do we get the Allowable Stress for the materials in BS5500? (For ASME its easy to find from Section 2 from the tables. (For BS 5500 do we need to calculate for each material? OR can we take the allowable stress from ASME for BS 5500 std?)

    Hello All, If Pressure vessels are designed and fabricated to BS 5500 and in service. Can we follow the API 510 requirements during in service? (Which includes Section VIII): IF NOT what is the alternative? As BS 5500 is not normally in use widely.

    Brittle fracture: API 570 says ADD 17 deg C (30 Deg F) to the MDMT for Hydrotesting?

    If we see 17 Degrees C is not equal to 30 Degrees F (it is equal to minus 1.11 Degrees C). Is it a Mistake in the code OR my understanding?
