Looking for a method used to analyse stresses in the circular base (bolted) flange and circular hollow column wall (thin walled). Overturning loads are mainly wind loads
Flange and Circular Column are similar to those used on cell phone tower bases, sign post base.
Does anyone have a reference for bending moments and stress calculations in a short deep cantilever beam (crane hook). The only one i found is in Roark Section 8.1 Heywood formula.
Does anyone have a copy of this paper and an example of how to use Newmark, N.M. - "Numerical Procedures for Computing Deflections, Moments and Buckling Loads", Transactions ASCE, Vol. 108, 1943
I need a step by step example of how to use Newmark's method, also does anyone have a copy of this paper?

Does anyone have a reference for stress analysing a STEEL plate with a number of relatively large holes closely spaced and in a straight line line perpendicular to the Tension axis?

I have a petrol driven (20cc motor) Grass cutting Edger on which the Gear Box/Clutch is not working. The unit has hardly been used and since to replace with a new would cost about 1/2 the value of a brand new Edge Cutter I am wondering if someone has details on how this gearbox part is made up...
