lenght of thickened shell for non-standard flange
Hi All, I am designing a large diameter (>2400mm) slip-on plate flange connecting two parts of a vessel using the Taylor Forge method. The vessel is 10mm thick and in order to come out with a reasonable flange thickness I have thickened up the shell at the connection with the flange. Question...- billeeee

Using JIS materials when designing to ASME VIII Div1&2
Having read through section UG-10 of ASME VIII Div1, I am still unsure. We have a contract for the far east where the client wants to use a JIS material, or specifically, JIS G3115 SPV315, which is a PV Steel.
