6063T4 - time@temp for hot form?
My project is to change the material grade from 5052 to a 6xxx series to reduce cost - maybe 6063 T4? What temper is best to start with (raw tube) if I am going to hot form, quench and heat treat? I started some trials with parts that were 6061-T6 - I heated them to 515°C, quenched in water...- stegs
