I am trying to determine how long I need to vacuum bake a part at a certain temperature to remove hydrogen from the part. I have found the coefficient of diffusion, time constant and diffusion, but am stuck on how to determine the time required to bake the parts to reduce the hydrogen...
Hi all, I am wondering if anyone has any information on vacuum bake out of 316 SS to prevent hydrogen outgassing? Temperature, duration, and vacuum pressure? I have read about the chambers being baked at around 400°C for 24 hours, but nothing about smaller parts.
Thanks in advance.
