I am new to NX and I am trying to cut 6 slots on a diameter using a 4 axis lathe and a woodruff cutter, the slots have the radius of the cutter at the end of the slot.
the intention is to bring the woodruff cutter in Vertically and rough and finish the slot Horizontally from the front face...

I am trying to mill an open ended slot with cavity mill, the problem i have is that the tool does not feed down in fresh air in front of the job as i would like it to, i have altered nearly everything i coould in the non cutting moves but still has not solved the problem, any ideas?
