I need an equation to calculate the percent solids of weak black liquor in a paper mill. I have a micro motion flow meter installed that gives me the density and temperature. The percent solids is low (around 10 to 15 %).
One of the readings is:
temperature = 180.13F
density = 1.0490 g/ml
I don't remember how to do these calculations but I know they arn't very difficult. I am working on heating ClO2 for the bleach plant at a paper mill and we are looking at steam savings.
