Raised face vs. flat face flanges
A 10" 1500# RF spectacle blind has a combined thickness of 2 1/2" (including the 1/4" raised faces). If I wanted to buy flat face spectacle blinds instead of raised face, then would the thickness be only 2"? Thanks, P1p3r- P1p3r

Anhydrous Ammonia Branch Line
I am connecting a new 16" anhydrous amonia line to an existing 16" anhydrous ammonia line. Is there a preference for the branch orientation? I've heard that off the side or bottom of the pipe is best. Does this have to do with the vapor/liquid phase and draining liquids? Thanks!- P1p3r
