I am after a suitable bezel,
for a Powertip 1602-L
display dims = 99x24 mm
can anyone recommend suitable supplier (preferably in UK )
(I have 'googled' extensively !)
TIA
I have a normally open switch that temporarily shorts out part of a control circuit for machine to continue operation,
from a safety perspective I wish to monitor this switch in case it 'welds shut'
volts = 24v dc
current = 1A max
one switch is reed type, other is plunger type Link...
I am using a 16f877 PIC to drive a 16x2 LCD,
if I run the code to where the lift checks if between floors , all is good, if I run code to end , at the start, I get what looks like a 'y' in the display,
and rest of code seems to output weird characters, behave illogically

if one is using an override switch (overides control/safety switch) , and a standard calls for that override switch to have 'positive separation' for such a switch, and currently the switched used to override part of the circuit is normally open, how would one achieve the 'positive separation' ...
I am after a UL approved Class 2 transformer (UL 5085-3)
240 v primary
27 v out (could make do with 24v out)
200VA
please can you suggest any potential suppliers ? ( preferably in Europe)
hi
i have a PLC where the inputs appear stable,
but, the internal memory coils appear to be operating erratically ?
causing the output relay to operate in chatter mode for period of time, then no output at all, until PLC is re-booted.
( the PLC hardware has been changed, no improvement )...

does anyone know of a crimp terminal that exists, that is at 90 degrees to the spade.
so th cable would be at right angle to the spade part
( if that makes sense )
Hi

hi
what are the advantages, if any, of inserting control switches in the negative side of control circuit?
( say you have 24v dc relay, and a control switch is inserted in the negative side of the relay )
for testing, a field control switch, I can see there may be sligth advantage,
all...
hi

Hi
I have a choice between Easy Pc and Cadstar Lite,
please can anyone recommend which one has the edge, so to speak
thanks
( I appreciate there is substantial cost difference )
if a step down transformer, 230v/27v ac is used to feed electronics, should the secondary be earthed at one side of the secondary ?
( to help deal with surges, transients, etc )
( obviously the 27v ac is bridge rectified on PCB to 24v dc regulated supply )
thanks
hi
i have built a multiplex circuit ,
555 timer generates clock, into http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet/on_semiconductor/MC14518B-D.PDF
BCD counter MC14518B-D,
this BCD output feeds into a ADG406 multiplex, each 'decimal' output feeds led,
LEDs clock nicely through, but, at does...
hi
we have a 230v 50hz load, around 5A load. Single phase motor / pump (some electronics, controls, 24 v dc. too )
our device needs to go to show in america where i am told the supply is 208 v 60 hz
is there a UK device/solution/converter, or , transformer supplier, that you can recommend to...
Hi
i have a requirement to control a dc actuator for a power gate application.

Hi
i am using IMO iSmart plc.
the ladder software, SMT v3.33 , when using monitor mode, all my comments that i written in the ladder disappear ?
I think it is when I go into monitor mode,

Hi
can ayone advise on the use of ferrules when terminating,
Apparently in EN60204 is mentions about the means of retaining conductor strands,
so if we were terminating to a contactor say, would you use a ferrule to conform to EN60204 ?
thanks
