I have noticed that cars are tending to have recessed windshields these days. The A-pillar is broader than previous habit. It appears that the A-pillar will guide air flow around and keep it attached. My question is this, does recessing the windshield by about 1 inch allow this to work?

Mike, one more thing, if its oil consumption vs detergent, some brands have more detergent in their 87 than others. It might be worth trying other brands' 87. If you can avoid 92 that is a significant savings.

Just a question. Is there a rule of thumb for sizing exhaust systems for passenger cars? I assume the main concern is the avoidance of condensation by keeping velocities up. Second would be low back pressure.
