A core balance ground ct connection was used in O/L in a Motor,
while residual ground CT connection was used for O/C at the secondary side of Transfomer going to the switchgear where the motor connected.
My question is, can I coordinate the two relays?
What is more sensitive during ground...
Can anyone help me how to compute the relay pick up, time delay and instaneous setting, to tell you the truth I dont know how to deal with it.
Hope you can help.
Thanks.

Hi,
Anyone can provide me some formula or
computation why a L-G fault is higher that L-L
fault in distribution system mostly with XLPE feeders?
Existing Transformers are solidly ground.
Thanks
Hi Guys,
I need a help in looking for a procedure on how to set an earth fault relay
What are parameters needed, (eg. short circuit fault, etc..)
Thanks.
Is there a need to conduct Reduced Voltage Trip and Close Coil Testing on circuit breakers? What maintenance is necessary for tripping and closing coils of circuit breakers? What are their current maintenance practices in trip/close coils? Any IEEE/ASTM Standard related to trip/close coils testing?
Does anyone have a formula in calculating the inrush current for Capacitor Bank.
The scenario is: there are two Capacitor Banks connected in parrallel, in each bank there is a series damping reactor connected.
Thanks.
Any one can explain to me what is the use of Neutral in a autotransfomer? I have an Example: 200MVA,Single-phase Autotransformer with tertiary, Y-connected. 500KV-primary,230kV-secondary and 13.8kV.(a),(b).
My another question is: if the neutral-wire going to diverter switch will cut off, happen...
If the transformer of a substation had a capacity
of 60MVA/80MVA/100MVA;
OA/FA1/FA2.
Can I say that it is a 100MVA S/S?
Could anyone can explain to me if this right or not?
Your reply is highly appreciated.
Could anyone can provide me some of their experience of
Transformer Bushing Failures manufatured by Haefely Trench.
We are preparing a report regarding our 100MVA Transformer
that was totally burnt due to bushing failure recently.

Anyone can help me to know the bushing specs(primary & secondary) of this
Transformer. Daihen Transfomer, formerly OSAKA Transfomer CO., LTD
This transfomer is very old(1976, its manual is lost
already.
Here is the Transformer nameplate specs.
