    Energy content of gas calculation

    I'd like to know how to calculate the energy content in BTU/cubic feet of a gas if we are burning it in an engine to produce a known output of power (13 kW) at 1400 rpm.

    Shaft deflection in API 610 7th Edition

    I am looking for the maximum allowable shaft deflection under API 610 7th Edition. I understand that this is given for the shaft at the impeller, as opposed to 8th Edition which states a maximum deflection of 0.002 in. at the mechanical seals.
