SW is a fine system for building certain things. It's the only one I'm really personally used. If you want to build blocks and machine parts you're all set. If you want to build airplanes, forget it. We are struggling with that issue right now.
SW knows of its deficiencies in flat pattern...
The basic problem is that I'm not a designer so I'm just learning this. As soon as we can get another designer I'll be asking him/her to do it. It'll take too long for me to be proficient.

How would I pass a plane through a 3D surface, get an intersection line, and extract say 500 x,y,z coordinates from the line which in this case would be some spline? I know how to get the intersection line but getting the points is something else.
This is fairly easy in UG but I don't know how...
