Identifying metal
From my calculations the density would be 8.433. Does this sound correct? From what I can determine it's most likely Brass or copper. Does this sound right?- dawkins77

Identifying metal
I am trying to possibly identify a piece of metal that I have. Its is a rectangular piece that is 31.73mm x 72.81mm x 27mm it weighs 526 grams. is there any way to determine what the composition is assuming that it is not an alloy and is only made of one type of metal. It does not mar easily...- dawkins77
