    voltage spike detector

Normal Voltage would be 26 VDC. This spike detector should indicate any event (eventhough spike occurs every second) by LED (or TTL output or latch circuit).

    voltage spike detector

thanks peterb!!!but I am looking for a cheaper alternative to oscilloscope (w/ trigger). This circuit must detect a voltage spike greater than ...say 26volts and if it detects one, there should be a way of knowing it like a simple LED. I tried to use a comparator but op-amps operate at not more...

    voltage spike detector

Is there a circuit out there (instead of an oscilloscope) that can detect higher than 28V voltage spike. This circuit should have an indicator (LED) that a greater than 26 Volts spike has been detected. I expect the spike to be 100 nanoseconds. Thanks in advance.
