API RP 2A WSD Versus ASCE 7-10 Wind Load Calculation and Load Combinations
The standard applies for the platform itself as well as the structures being placed on it. Often, if a building is not to be ABS or DNV classed, API will be used for lifting and wind load calculations.- Keith22

API RP 2A WSD Versus ASCE 7-10 Wind Load Calculation and Load Combinations
If a building is designed as per API RP 2A WSD, can the load combinations from ASCE 7-10 Section 2.4.1 (ASD) be used? I understand that the reduction in wind loading in these combinations is due to the change in calculated wind pressures between ASCE 7-05 and ASCE 7-10. My first assumption was...- Keith22
