    yes, i would model this like flow thru an orifice.. so... something's wrong with the statement? i.e. we would expect the flow to reduce the same percentage as the pressure.

    ok.. this statement is part of a work scope i was reading by ch2mhill..... "........ since leakage rates are directly related to system pressure, lowering the pressure will reduce water loss from any existing leaks. For example if a portion of the distribution system has leaks totaling 500gpm...

    suppose i have flow losses totaling 500gpm at about 80psi in a dist. system. if i reduce the pressure to say 50psi, what kind of reduction in flow losses would you expect? i would use flow through an orifice i suppose as a first start to approximate this but suggestions are welcome. thanks.

    both of my degrees are from abet schools although i've never been asked about it nor was it a requirement at boeing, or other large companies. nasa does require it for their engineers though.... i don't think it matters. for example, in kentucky, i think only one engineering program is...

    lighten up charlie. yep shadow, your situation is common. at the 7 year mark, i quit, went to stanford and finished a msme and then started a pawn shop and made a crap load more than being an engineer.. 3x. did just what i wanted. worked for myself. right now. it's hard for all of us...

    my guess is that you will have a hard time finding work in the field of engineering in nyc. mche is not a standard acronym for a mechanical engineering degree. i would fix that first.

    if you buy him: 1. get a very good lawyer & accountant 2. make sure you know who his customers are before you buy him start asking around about his reputation (that's the only thing you have at the end of each day)..... 3. don't be afraid to make changes in the way he's operating 4. keep him on...
