Perhaps more accurately, assertions that weren't accepted at face value have been left unexplained. I don't recall seeing an explanation for the assertion that it is "courteous" only to let someone know that I am looking at their work. Thus, the code of ethics discriminates against smaller (and/or non-technical) companies who are clients of engineers. A mom and pop operation isn't likely to have engineers on staff and they aren't as likely to pay another fee for another engineer to become involved. There probably isn't...- Anon732
