    ISO 4183 1995 Question

    Anybody know how the datum width of a v-belt is calculated? I don't NEED to know, and my curiosity isn't worth 83 bucks, but I know what the dimensions are, I just wonder what the arbitrary width is about. DIN and american are easy, it's top width, but why "datum width?"
