surface data from mesh
It depends on the complexity. You can create surfaces in hypermesh. Alternatively if you use the topology optimisation method there is a means of outputting suface data direct. It does tend to be a little messy but it works. Talk to altair.- timg340

Integration of Acceleration to Displacment
One easy way is to get the test guys to do it for you if they have the right kit. If you are stuck with analysis I have done this in I-deas. Ncode will probally sort this out as well. Hope this helps.- timg340

Hi all, Just a point on the use of RB3 elements. Many times I have seen incorrect results when the depedant nodes have components of motion 1-6. We find it is good practice to make the dependant just 1-3 i.e. no rotational. But you still might want to set the reference node to 1-6 if you are...- timg340
