    We specify diverting valves on our projects. They have given us better cooling coil temperature control than mixing.

    Yes the barometric dampers at the RTU should be able to vent the relief air. My rule of thumb is 5-10% of the air will be lost thru the construction. You want to leave 10% of the return air in the space for pressurization.

    The more water you add to the sanitary system the more chemicals($) the city has to add to the sanitary to treat the water. If the condensate goes to storm the city does not have to deal with it.

    20 air changes per hour should keep the odor level down. The supply air is typicaly from the feet end of the tabel and the exhaust is at the head end. You should have a high and low exhaust grille. Look at a fume hood exhaust fan to get the discharge high into the air.

    Cut the cabinet and run the duct through it. You will give up a lot of storage space but a vent hood that works is worth it. Maintain the equivalent of 10" round.

    Ventilation is cheaper than AC. On my job the trash room backed up to the pool deck so exhausting the room was not an option.
