Potentially, I hadn’t been able to find one of those that mentioned the exact size, thanks! The low voltage isn’t ideal for me but I could make it work, was looking for more like 12V. Would also have to trim down the plug slightly since 1/4” is a little over 6mm.
You know what, that might be perfect. I have one lying around from a broken 3D printer nozzle. Great thinking! I believe it’s exactly 6MM in diameter and has a brass casing.
I never thought of that, this might be perfect. I live in Florida and work at a hardware store, so I could pretty easily get free beach sand (which is mostly quartz here) and collect cement dust. Likely too impure though, either way this is a great idea. May end up trying it properly too.

Requirements:
>500°C heat resistance
Nonconductive
Able to seal, or non-porous if needed
Won’t dissolve in water when cured
Consumer-accessible; no materials I need to buy in bulk for a factory
For context; I’m working on developing a concept for a new engine. I need something similar to a...
That’s true to an extent, but the sound is fairly similar. The same low rumble and random combustion events are missing, but it sounds close if you’ve got a speed controller
That’s an interesting idea with the microphone though, I might try that at some point
I normally dislike EVs pretending to be gas engines with speakers, but in my mind a mechanical machine like a compressor for sound is different. Feels a little more organic
Hi, not sure where this belongs or if I’m even on the right website for this, but I’m looking for a very small compressor/pump for a project.
Specifications:
24V and under 5A ideally
Slightly noisy
Cheap, under $50
Small
Flow rate and PSI aren’t important
