punch life in aluminum?

punch life in aluminum?
I am looking for imformation on recomended pierce punch (non-shear)life before sharpening. Punch is approx. .500" X .125" through .125" aluminum heat treated to 47. I recomended a study to figure this out and was told someone should know.But of course no one there did.[noevil]- 514761974
