    @Karik87 I don't think that PWHT is mandatory for this grade (I don't have the access to the books right now so I cannot confirm). We have one customer that requires PWHT for major repairs. Time and temperature are the same as the HT for the castings. We weld with AC.

    A lot of good advice above - don't use thermal excavation techniques, practice on some similar material, carry out a PWHT with water quench.
