V layout with reversed intake and exhaust

V layout with reversed intake and exhaust

Consider a reverse of the standard locations of the intake and exhaust on a V layout engine. Is it not practical to have a significant portion of the intake tract running up instead of down? I'm not asking about changing an existing engine etc. Thanks for any thoughts on this.
