What kind of valve will do this?

I have a concern, I need for the system to pressurize, then remain pressurized for a period of time, and then to vent the pressure and return to normal. It's sounding like a 3/2 way valve will pressurize and then immediately exhaust as soon as the signal to pressurize stops being sent. Have I...

What kind of valve will do this?

hm, ok. So, if I wanted the arrangement shown in the attached picture what kind of 3 way valve would I want? I don't have any personal experience with fluid systems. thanks!http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m577/bdr16/Untitled.jpg?t=1287173523

What kind of valve will do this?

No, it's about like I said it is. My system ideally involves 1 electronic switch to introduce pressure into the system, and then once the pressure gets to a certain point all the pressure gets released. I read that a 3 way valve will only release pressure until the point at which it started to...

What kind of valve will do this?

I am building a system which involves an increase in internal pressure via an air tank in order to extend a series of telescoping tubes, and a subsequent full release of pressure back to atmosphere. For safety reasons I need the release to happen due to the internal pressure reaching a certain...

What kind of motor can move in several dimensions?

Thanks guys, it looks like I'm gonna have to teach myself a lot more electromagnetism. In the interim I suppose I'll have to deal with using normal servos. Thanks for all your help!

What kind of motor can move in several dimensions?

Yeah, i'm looking for small scale, and a spherical servo is precisely what I was thinking about. I suppose I could make "a servo attatched to another servo" work but I would honestly rather use a spherical one. Who knows where I can find, or atleast how to build, a spherical servo?

What kind of motor can move in several dimensions?

UPDATE: neither hitec nor futaba has a spherical servo. Does anyone know how to make one?

What kind of motor can move in several dimensions?

Thanks! The 2 DoF spherical servo motor is exactly what I was thinking of, actually. I am having some trouble finding them online, or even a guide on building one. Can you help further?

What kind of motor can move in several dimensions?

I need a part for a project I'm working on, and I can't remember what it's called. Its an electric device that has a rod coming out on one side, and what it does is to pivot the rod in any direction (left, right, front, back). What is this thing called?
