    Private Fire Service Main - Offline hydrants

    Did you check the section on Preplanned Impairment Programs in NFPA 25? Also the local code officials and the Fire Department for input? How close is a working fire hydrant in relation to the area of concern. Over 1,000 ft the flows will not be great hence the FD should be involved.

    See NFPA 30 for protection ie sprinkler design, fire separation cut off, container type, etc etc. Get a fire protection professional involved it can go wrong real quick depending on the quantity you are dealing with.
