    The points are being monitored by the main building fire alarm system. My question is does that tie have to be protected with overvoltage device? Is the requirement in NEC or 72 or just good practice?

    For a data center facility, there is a remote hut that has some electrical/fiber equipement. It has its own fire suppression and fire detection system. Am I required to have overvoltage protection on the fire alrm lines when leaving the building to monitor this hut? thanks in advance

    MFQD~ What is this for? Could you clarify so mabey I could try to help or ask someone else. I'm not sure if you're looking to retrofit a system, design a new one, or conduct a study of some kind.
