Test pressure at end of 4 hour hold 15120 kpa @ -5.5C
Pressure was measured with strip records at the low and high end of the lines.
We reciently completed a hydro (14000 kpa) on a 24" line. As the temperature fell the pressure raised slightly approximately 200 kpa.
What is the relationship between pressure and temperature,is there a caculation or graph for making this correction.
I have a piece of 0.5" 550 pipe material and want to weld a 234 wpb cap to the pipe. The hydro test pressure is 2048psi. Is the SA 234 WPB pipe cap adadqate? In accordance with ASME B16.9 it referres to the design pressure of the pipe we are less than 100F so is he pipe cap capable of standing...
