    Pattern Curve Creates Duplicate Lines

Thank you John, this makes sense. The 'two directional' pattern curve feature is not symmetric, so choosing the two directions as exaclty opposite results in stacking of the patterns, or squares, in your example. Can't wait until my copmany upgrades!

    Pattern Curve Creates Duplicate Lines

Yes, inside of a sketch. And yes, the directions are opposites of each other.

    Pattern Curve Creates Duplicate Lines

Not sure when we're going to upgrade, I am at the mercy of what the company decides to do. I'll work on figuring out how to send you an example when I stumble across some free time. I figured out a work-around. If I do one direction at a time, then I don't get duplicate lines. Thanks

    Pattern Curve Creates Duplicate Lines

Hello, I am using NX 7.5 and I am trying to pattern a curve in two directions. I select my curve (a rectangle) and select two different directions using 'count' and 'pitch' This works, but when I select the original line, it has created many many duplicates of the original shape. This bogs...

Pattern Curve with variable / increasing spacing

Thanks for these suggestions. John, I understand your work-around using offset curves and auto-dimensioning. Didier - What you say makes sense too. Both of these ways are not automated, which is what I was trying to achieve. I have to either write in the dimensions (JohnR) or write...

Pattern Curve with variable / increasing spacing

Are you suggesting the only way to do this is manually dimension the lines to space them out?

Pattern Curve with variable / increasing spacing

Is there anything in NX 7.5 that will allow placement non-equally spaced objects?

Pattern Curve with variable / increasing spacing

Hello, I am trying to create an array of lines inside of a sketch where the spacing between the line increases as more instances of the lines are added. For example I would like lines spaced at 1,2,4,7,11,16,22mm, etc. I have looked at selecting formula or function as the dimension for the...
