Thank you gtaw for reply. I forgot to write that I just need to do statics check on these welds to make sure that they will bear required continous load. It wolud be helpfull if someone know any book describing how to do statics check of such and other similar welded joints. Thanks!

I have a problem. I imported assembly with few parts to Abaqus, and some of parts have to be joined (to form the same deformable solid). How can I join different parts keeping them as volume partions, so I can later get structured mesh? Thanx for any help!

I don't know is it from version 4 or higher, but I'm sure that it is created in Catia.

I can't open it using File/New From because it's model extension, and model extension is not in offered extensions for importing.

I have a problem opening Catia model file. Model is created od other computer nand all I get is Error message saying: Incident report Type: Error Description:The Read/Write operation cannot be performed. Load aborted. What could be the reason for that? I'm using Catia v5R12. Thank you gor any help.
