Thank you for the reponse. I'm sorry that I forgot to mention this is gas flow equation for "orifice". I look at the paper you mention and find that is for "pipe". If you recognize the formula, please kindly let me know.
Hi Kirby,
Thank you. I'm sorry that I forgot to mention they are gas flow equation through orifice. "Crane" means "Crane Co. - Technical Paper No. 410". Anyway, thank you for your kind help.
Do anyone recognizes the following Gas Flow formula (for air here)?
W (lbs/sec) = 6.30*Cd* (d^2) *P1 /[(53.34*T)^0.5] * {3.5[(P2/P1)^1.429 - (P2/P1)^1.714]}^0.5
I would appreciate someone can point me to the source.
I understand one from "Crane":
qm' (SCFM) = 678 *Y *(d1^2)* C...

Thank you both Kwan and israelkk for being so nice to answer. We sent the 17-4 part for heat treatment (H1075) to a shop which isn't certified by the customer. We are thinking to send the part to a customer-certified shop to have second time heat treatment (H1075), but don't know if this will...
The 17-4 part was heat treated to H1075. Because conformity problem, could we reheat treated to H1075 again? Will this affect the material properties (strength, fatigue, toughness)? Thank you.
