Thanks for all of the replies. I am currently checking out the Microtherm material. I also found a company called Accuratus, who makes a material called Macor. Their address is www.accuratus.com It's a good, machinable material. It has a continuous use temp of 800° C.
I have a heat stake application where I need to insulate my cartridge heater which I will be heating to 700 degrees F.
