mike80, I kind of agree with DBDavis about the shear capacity not being satisfied. I would think for a wall this tall, moment would control. You said the shaft is 28 feet tall, how much of it is exposed? It puzzled me.

I have another concrete cold joint problem. This one is on the cantilever retaining wall heel slab. The base slab is design for 24" thick. Cold joint is at 10" from ground. My gut feeling is we need to do something. Can somebody tell me what are the remediations other than saw-cutting...
