I have 2 8753d units 50 Ohm and 75 Ohm.
I think I see your problem. I have 85052D kit and i looked at the disl. If the disk you have has the cal data in BDAT format (as mine does), then I think you you can't import it into the 8753 without the use of an external (HP Old style) computer...
I'm really stretching my memory here, but I think HP had a cable you could attach to the BNC and connect to a scalar network analyzer. I used those detectors with a ratio meter and couplers or VSWR meter and slotted line.

I don't use CST, but I do use ANSOFT HFSS. Couldn't you just assign an impedance to the surface of the resistive card? In HFSS, you just pick the surface and assign the impedance in ohms/square.

Having worked in the connector industry for 38 years, I can tell you you are going to have a lot of trouble finding this item. Also, you need to clarify the genders of each end. Male is ambiguous. Plug (pin or socket contact) is used for cable mounted connectors, and receptacle (pin or socket...
You might want to look at Micrometrics.
I have designed both T and Pi attenuator chips that they have manufactured for me for use to 18 Ghz, but they are larger than 0805 in order to handle higher power levels.
These chips http://www.micrometrics.com/pdfs/AP_Datasheet.pdf
are very small (.03"...
We weld the solenoid wires to the contacts on our other switches and will do the same here. As to soldering the switch to the board, we will be having discussions with the customer about that, but usually for a surface mount it will some sort of solder reflow mmethod as on our other switches...
Thank you biff44. We have condiered all of these parameters. Our main concern is the actual temperature to which this device will heat up. My simulations indicate that this will get to approximately 120C with a convection coefficient of 10. The customer tells us there is no concection within...
It is 100% reflective in both cases. It is as described. Normally Open. Then, 24 VDC is applied to the solenoid, and a shorting bar is actuated across the NO contact to ground (inside the case). The power is 200 watts at 2 Ghz. I am told by the customer that 2.77 A Peak is the max current...
I have an application for a switch that is either open circuit or shorted. The power is 200 Watts at 2 Ghz and the switch will be 1 cubic inch in size, surface mounted on a microstrip. I have made switches like this before but only normal SPST types with low VSWR and Insertion Loss.
I have...
You don't specify the application. Is this for surface mount or installation in a coaxial type attenuator?
Have you tried EMC?
From their website:
EMC Technology’s attenuators are available in a low power chip package. The power ratings range from 0.1 to 2 watts. The attenuation values...
I am looking for detailed design information on lumped element directional couplers in the 1-2 GHz frequency range. I have done a significant amount of searching, but have been unable to find practical circuits or at least fairly clear design guidelines and schematics.
Any help is appreciated...
Hi,
Here is the response from the ANSOFT AE to your question.
"It appears that the only way to get data out of Designer SV is either to
export a touchstone file, or to create a data table of the traces that you want, and right-click and Copy to file."
Hope this help,
David
