Hello,
You have to compare the two pressure class flange dimensions; the number of bolds, the Hcd ( hole circle diameter ) and diameter of the bolt holes must be the same to match.
Now I have done a quick check, DN200 and below will fit.
DN 250 and higher will not fit.
It now comes down to what...
Gents,
We are in the process of designing closed chiller that will be connected to teh water supply system. To prevent back flow I have been going through some document on the internet, but I noticed that there is a requirement for a double check valve. I also have an existing system here, but...
No, we have an existing system that is made of GRE pipe. We are now getting a new system where our contractor states that taking HDPE is a better choice than GRE.
Gents,
I have been asked to change from GRE piping to DHPE piping for our underground chilled water supply system.
The Existing GRE has worked very well and I do not want to change. But others think different about this new part of underground chilled water piping.
What is your experience...
Gents,
I have a design where three way vales have been added in a variable flow system, inorder to maintain a minimum flow.
This is againt what I was told; constant flow is three way valves and variable flow is two way valves for capacity control.
Who can tell me his experience with this. Will...
Gents,
I have a request in from my engineering company to use ETLITE piping sizing for a chilled water system. Unfortunately I have no experience with this software, so my question is; What is your opinion about this soft ware.
Hello,
We are having a problem here with our condenser coils on our chiller system. The standard copper / al coil with blygold treatment is corroding and need to be replaced with coil with a better protection.
We have suggested to replace it with a coil with a Carrier E-coating, but our...
Dear Collegues.
I have a document for review and it contains a quick fill connection, but what I see is a main supply connection and not a quick fill connection. Now I have never seen a quick fill connection. Can you help me on a sample of a quick fill with a main supply connection ( it is...
KiwiMace; Your comment is correct. The 6 inch is the chiller connection. The chiller will be immediately connected to the main pipe, so as short as possible. The main header it self will be either a 26 or even 28 inch as you have already indicated.
The intention is that it will be 4 run 1...
Having to design the main pipe in the primary loop of a chilled water plant.
I want to connect 5 chillers to the primary loop of a chiller system.
3 units will be connected immediately and 2 units will be future connection.
The connection of the chiller is a 6 inch victaulic connection.
In...
I am working on a project in a coastal and very humid area.
We have appartments here that are being airconditioned with a fan coil unit connected to a chilled water system.
When the occupant of the room puts the temperature too low (like 20 Deg C), we have a lot of condensation on teh ceiling...
Not the answer to your question, but what I have seen in the past is an AHU fitted with two complete fans installed within the AHU and connected to the ducting. The two fans (with motor) were in duty standby condition inorder the system to run continues.
I have to install a fresh air AHU with DIN flanges.
As I want to use everything in DIN I noticed that the wall thinkness is very samll for the smallest size only 2.3 mm for a DIN 80 or 3 inch pipe. There are thicker wall sizes like 3.2, 5.6 and 8.0 mm.
Having looked at the anse pipe equevalent...
Kiwimace, I will be thinking of solutions like this, but I have space to put an air handling Unit. Only in the room it self, I may use an adjacent room for one unit but the other 2 would have to remain in the room.
Chris, we have liebert units now and will look into those.
Sspeare, Indeed the...
I have a server room of 100 m2 (1076 ft2).
The intention of IT is to install here servers with a total equipment load of 450 kW (1535464 Btu/hr). If I start to select Ac units for this room I can go for 4 units (3 duty/ 1 standby), but they take about 26,25 m2 of space , or if I take ( 2 duty/...
I have two identical freezer/ cold store.
The Freezer is on R404 and the cold store is R134a.
My customer has now asked if he can change the cold store with R134a to a freezer with R404. As the information on the evaporator indicates that it can handle both refrigerants and the units are...
