I am dealing with a dynamic contact problem.
I have a little problem when i apply Rayleigh damping (especially Beta) the model runs very slowly. While if i dont give Beta value then it runs ok.
One more thing that am i applying this damping correctly? i am applying alpha in the mass...

yes i get the Displacement time history using a software SeismoSignal. Is it wise to give displacemnet history as an input excitation because this displacement history is not looking very good. Its just like a sine wave. Can u guide me abt this inherent drift thing.
