    Exploded Assembly duration

Does anyone know if it is possible to extend the time over which an assembly explodes and if so how? At the moment I seem to be limited to 8 seconds no matter how many steps there are.

    Assembly to weldment

I have an assembly that I want to turn into a weldment! If I save it as a part I get surfaces and not individual parts that can be detailed seperately. The assembly is a carry over from a previous job and should have been a weldment to begin with, now I'm using it in another job as a...

    Silhouette edge

Correct. I've just discovered the great improvement that,s been made to the sketch repair tool in Sw2009 that I,m sure will make life a lot easier.

    Silhouette edge

I have a number of models of sand cores for various cylinder head components from which I want to project a silhouette edge in plan view. As you can imagine with oil galleries and water jackets the shapes can be quite complicated with a lot of small faces therefore manually selecting each face...

    Dynamic bellows

Dan, Files posted. This is a crude set of parts just to see if I could make it work. Peter http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=bf868677-1331-4398-bcb8-ba60cbf06753&file=Assem2.zip

    Dynamic bellows

I have constructed some bellows in an assembly that will expand and contract when I move the parts to which it is attached but only after "ctrl Q". I'm sure I should be able to do this dynamically but I can't think how to do it, can anyone advise me please.

    Custom Property to part

Thanks for the help Handleman,it may be simple to you but as far as I'm concerned it's magic. Is it possible to make this work in "custom properties" instead of "configeration specific".

    Custom Property to part

Sorry about that,I didn't realise I'd done it.

    Custom Property to part

Hello world, I know it's easy enough to specify a material in Custom Properties by linking to the part material but does anyone know if it's possible to link the otherway round. In other words can you make the part material dependent upon the material specified in the custom properties. I have...
